The Republican Party of Florida slammed Reps. Darren Soto and Jared Moskowitz for voting against lowering energy costs for Florida families, a vote that once again shows their loyalty to the extreme left outweighs their duty to the people they represent.
Under Joe Biden, energy prices skyrocketed nearly 30% — 13 times faster than before he took office. Florida families are still paying for that disaster. Republicans offered a plan to finally bring relief, and Soto and Moskowitz voted “no,” just as they always do when given a choice between Florida families and Washington Democrats.
To make matters worse, their vote comes immediately after Democrats’ reckless government shutdown, which delayed critical heating assistance funds for 21,685 Florida households. While Floridians tighten their budgets and worry about their bills, Democrats in Washington are busy creating problems instead of solving them.
RPOF Chairman Evan Power said:
“Floridians are still suffering from Biden’s energy mess, and Soto and Moskowitz just doubled down on it. They had a chance to lower costs and help the people they claim to represent, and instead selfishly chose partisan loyalty. It’s pathetic, it’s destructive, and Floridians won’t forget who stood with them and who sold them out next November.”
