Florida Voters Demand Answers After Alleged $5M FEMA Fund Theft
We, the undersigned Florida voters and taxpayers, call on Florida’s Democratic Members of Congress—especially Representatives Jared Moskowitz, Darren Soto, Maxwell Frost, and Kathy Castor—to immediately go on the record and demand full public accountability from Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick.

Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick has been federally indicted over allegations that more than $5 million in FEMA disaster-relief funds were stolen. According to prosecutors, funds intended for COVID-19 response were allegedly laundered and diverted to finance her 2021 congressional campaign and personal luxury expenses, including a reported $109,000 diamond ring.

Despite the seriousness of these allegations, Florida Democrats have remained silent.

Enough is enough.

Florida taxpayers deserve transparency, integrity, and accountability—not silence and political protection.

We call on every Florida Democrat Member of Congress to publicly answer:

• Will you call on Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick to resign immediately pending her criminal trial and Ethics Committee outcome?


• Will you support her expulsion from the House if the Ethics Committee recommends it?


• Will you demand she be stripped of all committee assignments until this is resolved?


• Or will you remain silent?
