Today, Jeremy Matlow, better known as Tally’s Mamdani, announced his run for Mayor of Tallahassee. Just like New York socialist Zohran Mamdani, Matlow has backed Bernie Sanders, championed government-run grocery stores, pushed rent control, and embraced fringe far-left policies that would weaken our economy and public safety.

“Florida is free, and our capital city should be too,” said Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power. “Tallahassee deserves leadership that puts families, safety, and prosperity first, not socialist experiments and radical ideology.”

We know Matlow has embraced Mamdani’s extreme socialist agenda, but we will give him one chance to distance himself. That’s why we are calling on him to publicly denounce Mamdani and his radical stances, from defunding police to socialized housing to government takeovers of private enterprise.

The Republican Party of Florida will fight to ensure Tallahassee reflects the values of the state it represents, not the failed, dangerous policies of the radical left.
