José Javier Rodríguez: A Soft-on-Crime Liberal Looking for His Next Job

José Javier Rodríguez, a failed politician and liberal ambulance chaser, has announced his candidacy for Florida Attorney General – a job he’s wildly unqualified for.

“José Javier Rodríguez has spent his career coddling criminals, chasing ambulances, and auditioning for whatever political gig he can land,” said Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power. “Floridians support fighters who protect our communities, not far-left hacks who put criminals first.”

As a legislator, Rodríguez literally filed a bill that would have gutted the death penalty in Florida – even for the most heinous crimes (HB 6045-2021). Radicals like Rodríguez are the reason that monsters like the Parkland shooter get life in prison instead of paying the ultimate price for their crimes.

A personal injury lawyer and politician by trade, Rodríguez has bounced from job to job – failing in a congressional run, losing a State Senate seat, and after an underwhelming run at Biden’s labor department where he was summarily dismissed by President Trump. Now, like any career politician he is looking for relevance by launching another longshot campaign for office.

“After years of bouncing around different jobs and campaigns to push his Far-Left agenda, today’s announcement doesn’t come as a huge shock,” said Power. “Rodríguez isn’t running to serve the people – he’s running to serve himself.”
