Grifters like Jared Moskowitz are proving, time and again, they can’t be trusted to put the people before their profits

Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power issued the following statement in response to new reports exposing Congressman Jared Moskowitz’s suspiciously timed stock trades — trades made as markets responded to bold, necessary tariffs to protect American jobs:

“While President Trump was standing up to China with strong, pro-American tariffs, Jared Moskowitz was focused on one thing: getting rich,” said Chairman Evan Power. “As markets reacted to these strategic moves, Moskowitz was busy abusing public office and making insider-style trades — buying up stock in companies like Lockheed Martin, NVIDIA, Amazon, and Visa. And selling off his energy stocks. This was no fluke, it was opportunism.”

Moskowitz has attempted to deflect and point fingers at his financial advisor, but the pattern is clear: when the country faces economic turbulence, he finds a way to profit.

This was not the first time. Moskowitz sold between $65,002 and $150,000 worth of Seacoast Banking Corp. of Florida stock on March 10, 2023 — just before shares plunged nearly 20% the following trading day.

“This is not a coincidence — this is a pattern,” Power added. “Jared Moskowitz and Nancy Pelosi have a lot in common: they use public office to get rich.”

Chairman Power emphasized the contrast between Moskowitz’s actions and President Trump’s leadership:

“President Trump’s America First trade policies and tariffs were essential. They defended American jobs and workers and held China accountable. While the Trump administration was fighting for the American people, Moskowitz was fighting for his stock portfolio. It’s outrageous.”

“Floridians deserve a leader who puts them first — not a grifter who leverages and abuses public office to get rich. In 2026, it’s time to send Jared Moskowitz packing,” said Chairman Power.
