Florida GOP Offers Florida Democrats a Free Month of AOL Dial-Up to Relive Their “Glory Days”

With AOL officially pulling the plug on dial-up service this September, the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) is offering Florida Democrats one last chance to relive their “glory days.”

“When AOL dial-up launched, Democrats controlled the Legislature and the Governor’s mansion. Today, Republicans hold supermajorities, every statewide office, and a voter registration lead of more than 1.3 million,” said RPOF Chairman Evan Power. “The Florida Democrats have been stuck buffering ever since.”

As a parting gift, RPOF is considering giving them a free month of AOL dial-up — so they can hear those nostalgic dial up handshake sounds, and maybe a “you’ve got mail,” one last time before disappearing into political oblivion.

“While Republicans are building Florida’s future, Democrats are still trying to load 1994 — but their commie counterparts keep crashing them,” Power added. “We’ll even throw in a free CD-ROM.”
