Far-Left Crazy Person Runs for Senate

Far-left agitator Angie Nixon, D-Jacksonville, has launched a doomed bid for U.S. Senate against incumbent Sen. Ashley Moody, R-Fla. Her history of radical stunts and divisive extremism, rebuked even by fellow Democrats, threatens Florida’s progress in education, security, and economic freedom.

Nixon, self-proclaimed “biggest pain in Ron DeSantis’ ass,” has a track record of controversy:

  • Demanded a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war weeks after the Oct. 7 attacks, earning scathing rebukes from her own party and accusations of siding with radical Islamists.
  • Opposes school choice and parental rights, while pushing government control over children’s education.
  • Defends gender-affirming care for minors without parental consent.
  • Calls federal detention facilities “modern-day concentration camps” and pushes legislation to weaken ICE enforcement, so clearly pro-illegal immigration.
  • Favors higher taxes on businesses, risking Florida’s low-tax, pro-growth model.

“Angie Nixon’s radical agenda and toxic divisiveness are a gift to Republicans,” said Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power. “Floridians reject this extremism. Sen. Ashley Moody will continue championing safe borders, strong schools, low taxes, and family values.”

Early polls show Moody leading by double digits in solidly red Florida.
