Former Congressman David Jolly, once a Republican, then an “independent,” now a full-blown liberal Democrat – says he wants to flip Florida blue in 2026.
The problem? Reality. Florida has a 1.3 million Republican voter advantage, a streak of record-breaking GOP victories, and zero appetite for MSNBC talking points.
Jolly’s political journey has been inconsistent, to say the least – flipping on nearly every issue that matters to Floridians. Once a Republican congressman who lost his seat to Charlie Crist, Jolly went from opposing Obamacare to embracing it, from pro-life to supporting abortion-on-demand, and from defending the Second Amendment to backing sweeping gun control. He stands against everything Floridians believe in.
“No matter the issue, David Jolly has been on all sides of it,” said Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power. “Floridians won’t be swayed. Under Republican leadership, Florida enjoys low inflation, fiscal responsibility, and a thriving economy. School choice and parental rights are prioritized, and support for the rule of law is unmatched. We aren’t going backward with a flip-flopping political relic.”
The numbers don’t lie. President Donald J. Trump carried Florida by double digits just seven months ago. Republican dominance in our state continues to grow – with over 1.3 million more registered Republicans than Democrats.
“David Jolly has lost before, and he will lose again,” Power added. “Floridians won’t trust a slick opportunist who simply can’t be trusted. Jolly has no platform, no base, and no chance in Florida.”
