Tax Day has now become Tax Relief Day under President Donald J. Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts which is putting more money back into the pockets of Florida’s hard-working families, seniors, and individuals who deserve relief from high taxes.
“President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cut Act delivers meaningful relief to real families and workers eliminating taxes on tips, overtime, while allowing Floridians to keep more of that they earn and see larger refunds,” said Evan Power, Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida. “ “Floridians know how best to spend and invest their hard-earned dollars, they don’t want government doing if for them. Small businesses, the backbone of our communities, are also feeling more confident thanks to President Trump’s commitment to policies that help them invest and grow.”
Polls show that record numbers of voters believe that they pay too much in taxes. In Florida, that sentiment spells trouble for Democrats like Broward County Representative Jared Moskowitz, who voted against President Trump’s tax cuts.
Key provisions of the Trump Tax Cuts include no taxes on tips, no taxes on overtime, no taxes on car loan interest, a $6,000 enhanced deduction for seniors. The plan also makes permanent the enchanted Child Tax Credit while expanding access to employer childcare options empowering parents, supporting seniors and helping businesses and their employees thrive.
