Amendment 4 would make abortion the ONLY medical procedure that minors could undergo without parental consent.
Amendment 4 gives abortion clinics a rubber stamp to approve late-term abortions when the baby is capable of feeling pain.
Amendment 4 could lead to taxpayers being forced to pay for elective abortions. this and other taxpayer concerns are detailed in the amendment's Financial Impact Statement.
Don’t be fooled by Amendment 4 activists who claim this will “restore” Roe v. Wade era guidance. This legislation would create a constitutional right to abortion for ALL 9 months of a pregnancy, paving the way for late-term abortions in our state.
That means NO protections for the baby and NO way of stopping abortion all the way up to the moment of birth.
Amendment 4 creates the most EXTREME abortion protections in the country right here in Florida.
It REPEALS parental consent laws, leaving NOTHING standing between minors and radical abortion providers. It allows ANYONE at an abortion clinic to determine an abortion “necessary,” completely removing licensed medical doctors from the decision making process, and it creates an avenue for TAXPAYER FUNDED abortions.
Amendment 4 is just another radical power grab from big money, out of state liberals who want to do anything they can to gain traction in the freest state in the nation. That's why they'll do ANYTHING to pass their abortion-at-all-costs agenda. Don't be fooled.
